AI-assisted delivery across every service
We use either Anthropic or OpenAI models across all services to support design, implementation, testing, review, and documentation. The model and the handling of client materials are agreed according to the project. A senior developer reviews the outputs, makes the technical decisions, and remains accountable for the result.
When you need an independent technical view before making a decision about existing software, the health check tells you what is sound, where the material risks lie, and what to do next. It suits an existing web service, SaaS product, or internal tool before further development, a supplier change, or a larger technical investment.
The goal is not to produce a long list of theoretical observations. Every finding included in the report is tied to a practical impact and placed in priority order.
What does €1,490 + VAT include?
- a free 30-minute scoping call before ordering
- a risk-based review of one bounded web service, up to two code repositories, and one production environment
- an applicable assessment of the code, architecture, dependencies, testing, release process, and operability
- a written report with the reasoning and severity of each finding
- a prioritised 90-day action plan covering what to do now, next, and later
- a 60-minute remote results meeting to discuss the report and your questions
The start date is confirmed in the offer based on availability. The five-working-day delivery window begins on the agreed start date once the written scope, required materials, and read-only access are in place. The service is available to businesses and organisations.
What do we assess?
Architecture and maintainability
We assess whether the system’s responsibilities, interfaces, and data flows are understandable and identify structural issues that make safe development slower or riskier.
Quality and reliability
We review the practical level of testing, error handling, logging, and observable reliability risks. The assessment is based on evidence rather than a single quality metric.
Dependencies, security, and material handling
We examine outdated or known-vulnerable dependencies, secrets handling, the basic access-control model, and other risks visible in the source code and supplied materials.
Delivery and operability
We assess how repeatably the service can be built and released, how production issues are detected, and whether recovery, backups, and environment management are at an appropriate level.
Cost and performance signals
We highlight evident structures that may cause unnecessary cloud cost, latency, or scaling problems. Load testing and comprehensive cloud-cost optimisation are not included.
How the AI-assisted review works
We use either Anthropic or OpenAI models to support the analysis of agreed code, configuration, and documentation, and to cross-check potential findings. Before access is granted, we agree what material may be processed and how. A senior developer verifies every finding included in the report, assesses its significance, and remains accountable for the conclusions.
When does the fixed price apply?
The package fits one clearly bounded web service or technical system with up to two code repositories and one production environment. The client supplies read-only access, relevant documentation, known concerns, and the necessary environment and cost information.
We confirm the fit during the free scoping call. If the system is broader than the package, we either focus the review on its most important part or provide a separate quote before you order. No additional work is carried out without your approval.
What is not included?
- an exhaustive audit of every line of code or a guarantee that the system is defect-free
- penetration testing, security certification, or a legal data-protection assessment
- production load testing or other testing that affects the live service
- implementation of fixes or new features
- any obligation to buy further development from us
These boundaries keep the findings useful and the price genuinely fixed. If we discover a critical risk, we tell you immediately rather than waiting for the final report.
Who is it for?
The health check is particularly useful when development has slowed down, production problems recur, there is no shared view of technical debt, or the next investment needs to be prioritised. It also helps before changing suppliers or when business leadership needs an understandable, independent summary of the technical situation.
After the report, you can implement the recommendations with your own team, your current supplier, or with us. A bounded fix can be agreed as a €990 + VAT development day, while broader work is estimated separately.
