Software development service

Full-stack development

End-to-end web application development — React/TypeScript on the frontend, Node.js on the backend — whether you're starting from a blank repo or an existing codebase.

AI-assisted delivery across every service

We use either Anthropic or OpenAI models across all services to support design, implementation, testing, review, and documentation. The model and the handling of client materials are agreed according to the project. A senior developer reviews the outputs, makes the technical decisions, and remains accountable for the result.

We build web applications end to end, from the frontend down through the backend and the database. React and TypeScript on the client, Node.js on the server, are the usual defaults — but the stack gets picked to fit the project, not out of habit.

We’re just as comfortable starting from an empty repo as dropping into an unfamiliar, years-old codebase: we read before we write, and we leave things in a state where the next developer — quite possibly you, six months from now — can tell what was done and why.

What can full-stack development include?

  • a new web application or customer portal
  • continued development and technical-debt reduction in an existing product
  • user interfaces, APIs, databases and third-party integrations
  • testing, automated deployment and production setup
  • documentation and a clean technical handover to your team

The implementation is scoped around a business outcome. A technology list is not the goal: the solution needs to serve its users, remain maintainable and be safe to ship.

When does an external senior developer help most?

This service fits when your team needs an experienced developer to own a complete slice of delivery, an existing system needs controlled modernisation, or an idea requires both front-end and back-end expertise. The engagement can be a focused project, a defined development sprint or a longer period of product development.

How the work proceeds

We start with the goal, users, current technical environment and the most important risks. We then agree the scope and acceptance criteria. During development you see working increments in short cycles. At the end, the solution is deployed to the agreed environment with documentation — not left as code sitting in a repository.

Once delivery is complete, continuity can be secured through a monthly Ongoing Care agreement. It is available for systems we have built or helped build and includes monitoring, monthly updates, and — depending on the service level — a limited amount of small development work.
